There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is.

Integrative Medicine

Modern medicine, with its technical achievements, can achieve a great deal and is sometimes indispensable. In our work, we use standard diagnostic methods and traditional technical examinations to provide a quick and reliable diagnosis. However, our medical philosophy goes beyond conventional medicine alone.

After more than 20 years of medical experience, we are convinced that the key to successful medical treatment lies in the combination of conventional and complementary medicine. This integrative approach enables a deeper understanding of each patient's needs and achieves optimal results by carefully integrating a range of therapeutic methods.

The Benefits of an Integrative Approach

Our approach is particularly effective for chronic conditions, such as

- unexplained fatigue

- menopausal symptoms

- autoimmune diseases

- chronic digestive and metabolic disorders

- diabetes mellitus

- arteriosclerosis

- osteoporosis

Through detailed laboratory diagnostics, we gain insight into the current state of health, including functional limitations on different levels. This makes it possible to treat not only symptoms but also the underlying causes of dysfunctions.

For you, this means that in the diagnostic and treatment process, we take the whole person into account - not only your physical symptoms. You do not come to us primarily as a patient, but as a person whom we want to support in developing health competence. We want to empower you to take responsibility for your health and well-being.

Taking health issues seriously

Sometimes, physical and psychological complaints arise for which no organic cause can be found with conventional medicine. Symptoms such as sleep disturbances, exhaustion, susceptibility to infections, digestive issues, and muscle and joint pain can be early warning signs indicating that something is "out of balance." Often, hormonal and biochemical imbalances are already present. These can be addressed effectively with a targeted, holistic approach.

Support after a health crisis

After a serious illness, an accident or during major life changes, it can be beneficial to support the body's recovery with targeted nutrient and hormone therapy. Our combination of conventional medicine, naturopathy and mental strengthening makes it possible to use the crisis as a turning point. Thanks to this holistic support, many people not only regain their health, but also discover new sources of strength and a deeper understanding of their own needs. The path to recovery thus becomes a process of personal growth.

The purest form of madness is to leave everything the way it is and still believe that something will change.

Prevention

Preventive medicine aims to actively promote health and prevent diseases. Many of us tend to attribute health challenges to our genes. However, the latest findings in epigenetics show that environmental factors play a crucial role. Elements such as exposure to pollutants, nutrition, physical activity, and effective stress management can significantly influence whether genes are activated or deactivated. This means that through conscious choice for a healthy lifestyle, you can actively influence how your genetic traits are expressed. A balanced diet and a mindful lifestyle help prevent disease and positively affect your genetic predispositions.

The Reality We Face

The reality often looks different: a sedentary lifestyle, digital overload, processed foods, and lack of sleep hinder many of us. Interpersonal challenges and racing thoughts put us in a state of chronic stress, overwhelm, and dissatisfaction. So how can we regain more freedom, joy, spontaneity, and tranquility? This requires curiosity, a shift in thinking, and the courage to step out of our comfort zones. To begin, we need to question our daily habits - around nutrition, movement, sleep, and the way we relate to others.

Prevention Begins Within

By becoming aware of our habitual pattern of thinking, acting and feeling, we can identify which serve our overall wellbeing and which do not. Research in mind-body medicine shows that positive changes in our thinking and feeling can directly strengthen the nervous system, immune system, microbiome, and hormonal system. In our practice, we provide you with tools and methods to support you on your journey toward greater mental presence, emotional balance, and a deeper connection with yourself and others. These factors together, not only to prevent chronic disease but also sustainably enhance your quality of life.

Prevention for all Areas of Life

Whether you want to increase your mental and physical vitality, prepare for pregnancy and child-rearing, or improve your athletic performance, or better manage a chronic illness or the menopause/andropause, we support you with knowledge, experience and compassion.

We also provide individual advice on reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as osteoporosis, heart disease, cancer and dementia, as well as improving your general health. Our comprehensive, solution-oriented approach offers practical and manageable changes that help you lead a more vital and fulfilling life.

Prevention for Healthy Ageing and Longevity

Aging is not just about the sum of our years lived; it is also about the quality of life in later years. Longevity means more than living longer - it is about living well. A vibrant life focuses on slowing down aging processes so that we can enjoy our later years with vitality, well-being, and wisdom.

Lifestyle choices are key to healthy ageing. By aligning our habits with our natural needs, we can significantly improve our quality of life in old age.

Research on centenarians shows that ageing does not have to mean declining health. These cultures often value natural living, strong social bonds and general well-being. In our practice, we share strategies for achieving healthy longevity and support you with our diagnostic and therapeutic expertise on your journey toward an active, healthy and fulfilling later life.

Protecting a healthy person from illness is a worthwhile task for a doctor.

Chinese Medicine

This philosophy of Laozi reflects how we see our role as doctors in our practice. Our goal is to raise awareness of how our lifestyle affects our health so that you can develop healthy behaviours and effective self-care skills. A thorough review of a patient's medical history, individual diagnosis and personalised care are the key aspects of preventive medicine.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient, independent and comprehensive health concept that emphasises the importance of balance and harmony in the body and in the natural world. At the heart of TCM is the concept of yin and yang – two complementary forces that manifest themselves in all life processes. When these elements are in balance, they promote the smooth flow of qi, the life energy that maintains our health.

In TCM, optimal health is defined by a delicate balance of yin and yang and the unimpeded flow of qi. When this balance is disturbed, the body sends a signal alerting us to potential health problems so that we can identify and address imbalances before they escalate.

Unlike conventional medicine, which often relies on technical diagnostic tests, TCM focuses on a comprehensive assessment of patients' signs and symptoms. This includes a thorough analysis of the tongue and pulse, which provides information about overall health and determines treatment strategies. This approach enables early diagnosis and effective intervention for various functional disorders.

From a modern medical perspective, TCM is particularly insightful for understanding disorders of the autonomic nervous system. If left untreated, these disorders can develop into more serious organic diseases, which can eventually be detected by conventional diagnostic methods such as blood tests or imaging techniques.

Acupuncture

A symptom is the body's way of asking you to listen.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which aims to restore balance and promote healing by regulating the flow of life energy (Qi) in the body.

This energy flows along specific pathways known as meridians, and specific acupuncture points along these meridians play a crucial role in health. By targeting these points with needles, we can promote the smooth flow of energy and thus support the body's natural healing processes. Alongside traditional acupuncture, we use modern methods - including dry needling, ear-acupuncture and acu-taping, to relieve pain and support recovery from musculoskeletal problems.
