If the therapeutic measures can be successfully integrated into everyday life, further examinations with renewed diagnostics and findings are carried out approximately 6–12 months after the initial consultation.
With the help of this method (measure-do-measure-do), the measurement results can be used to objectively confirm that the therapy has a positive effect on health.

Every chronic health condition requires a lifestyle change.
I usually ask patients to bring all medical records relating to their current state of health or medical history (blood test results, doctor's letters and reports on diagnostic examinations). This enables us to build up a comprehensive picture of your symptoms and ensure that no important aspects are overlooked. In some cases, so many specialists have been involved that the overall picture has been lost.
To ensure consistent and comparable results, all blood tests are typically performed before 11 a.m. This time of day is particularly important for accurately measuring hormones over a longer period of time.
We ask that you refrain from taking thyroid medication (such as L-thyroxine or Thybon), adrenal hormones (such as DHEA or hydrocortisone) or sex hormones (including oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone or pregnenolone) on the morning of your blood test.
If you are scheduled for a preventive medical check-up, please come after a 12-hour fast, which means that you should not eat breakfast. However, you may drink water or unsweetened tea during this fasting period.
Will acupuncture hurt?
What you feel depends on your individual sensitivity and condition. Some people feel nothing, while others experience sensations described as tingling, heaviness or a slight electric feeling around the needle or along the meridian. Acupuncture needles are very thin and stretch the tissue when inserted, preventing damage.
Is there a risk of infection from acupuncture needles?
No. I use pre-sterilised, individually packaged disposable acupuncture needles that are only used once.
How many treatments will I need and how often?
The number of treatments depends on the complexity and duration of your condition, as well as your physical condition and lifestyle, but is usually between 6 and 12 treatments. Some acute conditions are treated with immediate relief, while more complicated or chronic problems require more time. Most patients are treated 1-2 times per week.
Many people also find that regular weekly or monthly acupuncture treatments as a preventive measure help them maintain their inner balance, remain pain-free and promote a sense of well-being.
What can I expect after an acupuncture treatment?
This depends on the treatment. Many people feel immediate results after their first treatment, while others need more time. It is common to feel a deep sense of relaxation immediately after a treatment. Since acupuncture works on the subtle energies of your body, I recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and stressful situations immediately after treatment. Rest, if possible, is ideal.
