Coronavirus - Information on protection against infection

Dear patients,

 

We are currently carrying out Covid-19 nasal and throat swabs at our practice. You will normally be notified of the results within 24 hours by text message to your mobile phone.

 

Your health and that of our staff is our highest priority and a visit to our practice should not pose a potential risk of infection. To safeguard against this, we ask that you observe the following hygiene measures in place at our practice:

 

1. If you are suffering from flu-like symptoms, have had contact with a confirmed Coronavirus case, are returning from abroad or have received a notification from the Corona-Warn-App, please call us first on 0228-32957857 before coming into the practice. All patients coming for a swab will be shown through a side entrance and into a separate room for Coronavirus testing. You will receive further instructions over the phone before coming in.
    

2. When arranging appointments, we are making every effort to ensure that there is no more than one patient in the waiting room at a time.
    

3. When entering the practice, please wear a face mask covering both nose and mouth (if necessary, we can provide one) and use the hand disinfectant provided.
    

4. Please maintain a distance of 1-2 metres from our staff.
    

5. In addition to the hygiene measures stated above, we have also further intensified the disinfecting of door handles, surfaces, toilets, handrails, pens etc. 
    

6. Please do not sneeze into your hand. Instead use your sleeve or a tissue.
